Privacy Policy
Short version: this is a one-person streaming channel. I don't sell data, I don't run ad trackers, and the tools I use to publish clips only ever touch my own accounts.

Who this covers
This policy covers alienarachnid.com and Clipforge, a private tool I built to turn my own Twitch broadcasts into short clips and post them to my own social accounts. Clipforge is not a public product — it runs on my computer, it has no other users, and there is no way for anyone else to sign into it.
What the website collects
- Newsletter sign-ups. The signup boxes on the homepage and support page post directly to Buttondown, the service that runs the newsletter. Your address goes straight from your browser to Buttondown and is stored there — this site has no backend and never receives or keeps a copy. Buttondown's privacy policy governs that data. I use it only to send the updates you signed up for; it is never sold, rented, or shared. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
- Basic traffic data. The host records standard request information (page, approximate region, browser type) to keep the site running and see which reviews people read. It isn't used to build advertising profiles.
- Embedded content. Pages that embed Twitch or YouTube players load those from Twitch and YouTube, who apply their own privacy policies to what they collect. If you don't interact with the embed, I never see anything about you.
I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and I don't collect payment details — tips, subs, and merch are handled by Twitch, Ko-fi, Throne, and Fourthwall under their own policies.
What Clipforge does with platform data
Clipforge connects to Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok using the official APIs, and it only ever connects to my own accounts:
- What it reads. My own past broadcasts and the clips I marked while live, so it can find the moments worth posting.
- What it writes. Finished clips uploaded to my own YouTube channel and my own TikTok drafts. TikTok uploads arrive as private drafts that I review in the TikTok app before anything is published.
- Where credentials live. Access tokens are stored in a single file on my own computer. They are never transmitted anywhere except to the platform that issued them, and they are never included in anything I publish.
- Other people's data. None is requested, collected, stored, sold, or shared. Clipforge cannot access anyone else's account, and no third party receives data from it. Video is processed locally on my own machine.
Revoking access at any time (from the Twitch, Google, or TikTok account settings) immediately stops all of the above.
Viewers who appear in clips
Clips may include chat messages sent in my public Twitch chat. If you'd like a message or clip featuring you removed, ask and I'll take it down — see below.
Your choices
You can ask me what data I hold about you, ask for it to be deleted, or unsubscribe at any time. The unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter issue is the fastest route for email; for anything else, contact business@alienarachnid.com or message me in Discord, and I'll sort it out.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated version applies.
